ในปัจจุบันโลกเปิดกว้างมากขึ้น ฝ่ายชายไม่จำเป็นต้องเป็นฝ่ายออกค่าใช้จ่ายแต่เพียงผู้เดียวเสมอไปแล้ว ค่าใช้จ่ายในงานแต่งงานที่จัดขึ้นบางครั้งอาจเป็น การหารค่าใช้จ่ายของทั้งเจ้าบ่าวและเจ้าสาว บางกรณีอาจจะเป็นพ่อแม่ฝ่ายเจ้าสาว หรือพ่อแม่ของฝ่ายเจ้าบ่าว ออกค่าใช้จ่ายให้ทั้งหมด รวมไปถึงปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย ที่อาจจะเป็นเจ้าภาพในการงานก็เป็นไปได้ทั้งนั้น แต่สิ่งสำคัญก็คือข้อความในการ์ดเชิญงานแต่งงานของคุณ ควรจะเขียนเพื่อให้เครดิตแก่ผู้ที่ออกค่าใช้จ่ายในการจัดงานอันแสนวิเศษครั้งนี้ ด้วยการยกระดับความสำคัญของชื่อเจ้าภาพหรือผู้ออกค่าใช้จ่ายนั้นไว้ในลำดับบนสุดของการ์ด ซึ่งเรามีตัวอย่างรูปแบบการเขียนมาให้ลองใช้ดูเป็นตัวอย่าง โดยธรรมเนียมของฝรั่งก็อาจจะมีรายละเอียดปลีกย่อยอื่นๆ ที่ต้องปรับเปลี่ยนการเขียนไปตาม รูปแบบของการจัดงาน หรือฝ่ายที่เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงาน เป็นต้น

Wedding Invitation Tips:
* ในการเขียนการ์ดเชิญแบบเป็นทางการ สิ่งที่เป็นตัวเลขในการ์ดควรจะเขียนเป็นตัวเขียนมากกว่าเขียนเป็นตัวเลข ตัวอย่างเช่น ควรจะเขียนว่า "Five o'clock in the evening" แทนที่จะเขียนว่า "5:00 p.m."
** "Request the honor of your presence" การใช้คำนี้ ใช้ได้เพียงพิธีสมรสที่แต่งในโบสถ์ พิธีคาทอลิค กรณีอื่น ๆ ใช้คำอื่น ๆ ทั่วไป เช่น ตามตัวอย่างข้างบน "request the pleasure of your company"
