Apperantly, Kate Middleton did her own makeup for the big day.
It is said she took some lessons from the famous makeup artist Arabella Preston. Kate wanted to “keep some normality” to the whole show.
Let’s see how her wedding day makeup differs from the one she usually has.
She goes easy on the foundation, nothing too obvious. Emphasizes the eyes and brows. No bright color lipstick. Gloss or natural color lipstick.
Here again, although the picture is taken at an event, Kate is careful with the makeup. She looks very natural. The emphasis is on the eyes and cheeks.
And now her makeup for the big day: There is a little bit more of everything than usual. Slightly darker foundation and brighter cheeks. She paid more attention to the eyes and brows making them look sharper. The lipstick is matching the tone base and cheeks, only a tone or two paler.
Kate definately has her own style in makeup – naturally elegant.

ชุดเจ้าสาวสุดหรูที่เจ้าสาวทั้งโลก ใฝ่ฝันที่จะได้สวมใส่ในวันแต่งงาน! ของเจ้าหญิงแคทเธอรีน - Catherine or Kate Middleton Wedding Dress by Designer Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen
Miss Catherine Middleton's Wedding Dress has been designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen.
Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing. Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen's work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress.
The dress epitomises timeless British craftsmanship by drawing together talented and skilled workmanship from across the United Kingdom. The dress design pays tribute to the Arts and Crafts tradition, which advocated truth to materials and traditional craftsmanship using simple forms and often Romantic styles of decoration. Ms Burton's design draws on this heritage, additionally giving the cut and the intricate embellishment a distinctive, contemporary and feminine character.
The design
The lace appliqué for the bodice and skirt was hand-made by the Royal School of Needlework, based at Hampton Court Palace. The lace design was hand-engineered (appliquéd) using the Carrickmacross lace-making technique, which originated in Ireland in the 1820s. Individual flowers have been hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle to create a unique and organic design, which incorporates the rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock. Hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace has been used throughout the bodice and skirt, and has been used for the underskirt trim. With laces coming from different sources, much care was taken to ensure that each flower was the same colour. The whole process was overseen and put together by hand by Ms Burton and her team.
The dress is made with ivory and white satin gazar. The skirt echoes an opening flower, with white satin gazar arches and pleats. The train measures two metres 70 centimetres. The ivory satin bodice, which is narrowed at the waist and padded at the hips, draws on the Victorian tradition of corsetry and is a hallmark of Alexander McQueen's designs. The back is finished with 58 gazar and organza covered buttons fastened by Rouleau loops. The underskirt is made of silk tulle trimmed with Cluny lace.
The Fabrics
French Chantilly lace was combined with English Cluny lace to be hand-worked in the Irish Carrickmacross needlework tradition. All other fabrics used in the creation of the dress were sourced from and supplied by British companies. The choice of fabrics followed extensive research by Sarah Burton and her team.
The Royal School of Needlework
The Royal School of Needlework (RSN), based at Hampton Court Palace, assisted the Alexander McQueen team in accurately cutting out the delicate motifs from the lace fabrics and positioning the lace motifs with precision into the new design. The lace motifs were pinned, 'framed up' and applied with stab stitching every two to three millimetres around each lace motif. The workers washed their hands every thirty minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine, and the needles were renewed every three hours, to keep them sharp and clean. The RSN workers included existing staff, former staff, tutors, graduates and students, with the youngest aged 19.
The RSN's work was used primarily for the train and skirt of the Bride's dress, the bodice and sleeves, the Bride's shoes and the Bride's veil.
Veil and Jewellery
The veil is made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers, which was embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. The veil is held in place by a Cartier 'halo' tiara, lent to Miss Middleton by The Queen. The 'halo' tiara was made by Cartier in 1936 and was purchased by The Duke of York (later King George VI) for his Duchess (later Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother) three weeks before he succeeded his brother as King. The tiara was presented to Princess Elizabeth (now The Queen) by her mother on the occasion of her 18th birthday.
The Bride's earrings, by Robinson Pelham, are diamond-set stylised oak leaves with a pear shaped diamond set drop and a pavé set diamond acorn suspended in the centre. Inspiration for the design comes from the Middleton family's new coat of arms, which includes acorns and oak leaves. The earrings were made to echo the tiara. The earrings were a personal gift to the Bride from her parents for her Wedding Day.
Robinson Pelham have also designed and made a pair of diamond earrings for Miss Philippa Middleton. These earrings are more floral in nature to compliment the headpiece worn by Miss Philippa Middleton during the Service.
A tourmaline and diamond pendant and matching earrings have been designed and made for Mrs. Carole Middleton. Two gold stick pins, one with a single gold acorn at the head and the other with an oak leaf, are also worn respectively by the Father of the Bride, Mr. Michael Middleton, and the Bride's brother, Mr. James Middleton.
Wedding Shoes
The wedding shoes have made hand-made by the team at Alexander McQueen and are made of ivory duchesse satin with lace hand-embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework.
Prince William & Catherine Middleton Kiss on the Balcony - The Royal Wedding จุมพิต มนต์สะกดโลก! ของเจ้าชายวิลเลียมและเจ้าหญิงเคต
Prince William and Duchess Catherine Middleton stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace for their first kiss.
At 1:25 p.m. London time, the fairy-tale moment unfolded, and the newly ennobled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared their first public kiss in front of thousands, who swarmed around Buckingham Palace to get a glimpse of the newlyweds in person.
After waving to the crowd, with beaming smiles, the pair shared a demure peck while surrounded on all sides by their family. As the crowd cheered (some begging for more), the couple went in for a second, slightly longer kiss.
Prince William and Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Details Revealed on April 29, 2011
Kate Middleton will arrive by car and leave in a carriage when she ties the knot with Prince William at Westminster Abbey on April 29. Key details about the upcoming nuptials emerged Wednesday; Charles' representative broke weeks of silence with a statement announcing Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams will marry the couple in an 11 AM ceremony.
The wedding of William and Middleton, his girlfriend for nearly eight years, is expected to draw a gigantic global audience via television and the Internet. According to PopEater's Rob Shuter, this will be the most expensive celebrity wedding of all time and likely cost the British taxpayers more than $20 million dollars.
Britons and visitors can try to catch a glimpse of the couple as they glide by in a horse-drawn carriage, when it travels through Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and the Mall, or they can gather near Buckingham Palace, where William and his bride are expected to emerge into public view briefly on the balcony.
This is the same balcony where William's parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, kissed after their 1981 wedding, and where wartime leader Winston Churchill joined the royal family to wave to the public in triumph at the end of World War II.
Queen Elizabeth II, William's grandmother, will host a reception at Buckingham Palace after the wedding ceremony. The reception guest list has not been released, but palace officials said it will be drawn from members of the wedding congregation, who come from the couple's official and private lives.
The night of the wedding, Prince Charles will host a dinner and dance at Buckingham Palace for family members and close friends of the newlyweds.
According to PopEater's Rob Shuter, William's little brother Harry is planning the bachelor party. Meanwhile, the night before the wedding, Middleton will stay overnight in central London at one of the palaces, a source tells PEOPLE.
The wedding update cleared up many important questions about the schedule but leaves many more issues open to speculation, including which designer will be asked to make Middleton's wedding gown and which celebrities will be on the guest list.
The official wedding guest list is also closely guarded information, with palace officials emphasizing that the wedding is not a state affair that will be driven by protocol concerns. No information has yet been released about couple's honeymoon plans.

Kate Middleton Appoints Philip Treacy Official Wedding Hat Maker
We're still wondering who will be designing Kate Middleton's wedding dress, but one thing we know for sure is that there will be hats. Known for showcasing headwear of varying proportions, Kate is rarely seen at a wedding engagement or special occasion without some sort of brilliant hat. But who will design the hats for her wedding? Drum roll, please...Philip Treacy! His creations are often seen perched atop famous heads such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Lady Gaga; it is reported that The Duchess of Cornwall recommended Treacy to Kate, who has worn his creations before.
Kate will be wearing a veil during the wedding (which we can't WAIT to see), but is rumoured to want something fantastic to wear at night when she changes into more casual attire. Treacy will also be designing hats for members of the bridal party, as well as Kate's mother. Said to have rooms reserved strictly for wedding gowns, shoes, and hats at the palace, Kate is sure to surprise all with her choice of dress. At least we now know which hat designs to look for when peering over the crowds.
The hat on the left is a classic English style, and is very appropriate for a royal wedding. The rose gives it a little extra sparkle without being too bland, and the shape is extremely elegant, making it a perfect choice for Kate's mother. This smaller disc-shaped hat with bow detail is young, playful, and reminiscent of hats Kate has worn in the past. It is very simple and modern, and allows for a more elaborate hair style underneath. The bright color would also make quite a splash at church!
The netting and ornate flowers and embellishments on the hat at left evoke a distinct bridal feel, making it the perfect choice for the bridesmaids, or for Kate at her reception. The larger brim and forward facing angle of the hat on the right are both elegant and respectful, something one must be concerned about when attending a royal wedding. Although white, the simplicity of the hat makes it a perfect accessory for a more mature guest, and could be worn again at the races. Or a polo match!

Finally engaged! The official announcement at St. James Palace (WireImage/Samir Hussein)
Prince William and Kate Middleton (I’m sorry–Catherine Middleton, as she prefers to be known) have finally announced their engagement, which took place in October in Kenya. The news doesn’t come as much of a surprise–their recent joint appearance at Harry and Rosie Meade’s wedding was seen as “significant,” as we mentioned–but it’s still very welcome news to royal watchers, who collectively lost their minds today.
William used Princess Diana’s famous diamond and sapphire ring, reportedly saying he wanted to make sure Diana “didn’t miss out on the excitement.” In a joint appearance at St. James Palace that will go in the history books–you remember Charles and Diana’s famous engagement photocall, right?–Kate wore her favorite designer (and, by the by, one of mine) Issa, ramping up rumors that Danielle Issa Helayel will be the lucky one to design the wedding dress. In an official statement, Clarence House said: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton. The wedding will take place in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course. Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father. Following the marriage, the couple will live in North Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.”

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: ‘Both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are absolutely delighted for them both.’ Meanwhile, Prince Charles prnounced himself ‘thrilled,’ joking that the couple had been ‘practicing long enough’, and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, said: ‘It’s the most brilliant news. I’m just so happy and so are they. It’s wicked.’
Michael and Carole Middleton, who must be relieved to finally be allowed to speak publicly about their daughter’s relationship, said they are ‘absolutely delighted’ and ‘thrilled’. Mr Middleton said: “As you know Catherine and Prince William have been going out together for quite a number of years. Its great for us because we have got to know him extremely well. We think he is wonderful. They make a lovely couple, they’re great to be with and we’ve had a lot of laughs together. We wish them every happiness for the future.”
